This page describes how an energy modeler can prepare a neighborhood model of an existing neighborhood to which new buildings are then added using MIT’s Urban modeling Interface (UMI). UMi can be used conduct a multi-dimensional environmental performance analysis of new and existing buildings. Case studies from around the world can be found on the UMI website.
